    What do some towns in the U.S. have in common? There are places where the paranormal is a big part of a community’s history.

Places like Point Pleasant, West Virginia;
where in 1967 the Mothman was sighted before the tragic collapse of a bridge in the town.
The town has a statue of the Mothman.  






Flatwoods, West Virginia; in 1952 an alien, the Flatwoods Monster was seen. They have a large chair in the shape of the monster there.  
And there is the Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant. 




Fouke, Arkansas; is the home of the Boggy Creek Monster, Bigfoot type creature. The movie “The Legend of Boggy Creek” was based on. 



White Hall, New York; where there are many sightings of Bigfoot, including by police there. They have a statue of Bigfoot in the town. 
Also Kingston, New York is where the Communion alien abduction took place.
New York State borders Lake Champlain, home of Champ, the lake monster. 
And the Amityville haunting occurred on Long Island in New York.


Bluff Creek, Orleans, California; where the Patterson-Gimlin film of a Sasquatch was taken in 1967. 











Marfa, Texas; The Marfa Lights have been appearing there sense the late 1800s. 


Lubbock, Texas;  UFO lights were sighted in 1951.

Aurora, Texas; UFO crashed in 1897 on a farm.

Kecksburg, Pennsylvania; there was a UFO crash in 1965. 

Corona, New Mexico; is where the Roswell UFO crash occurred in 1947. 
Roswell, has the International UFO Museum. 

      
Rachel, Nevada; they have the little A'Le'Inn restaurant on route 375, the Extraterrestrial Highway, near to Area 51. 

Groom Lake, Nevada; is the home of Area 51, where they experiment with UFO technologies.

     
Estes Park, Colorado; is where the Stanley Hotel is located, another very haunted location. Basis for the movie “The Shining”.

Dover, Massachusetts; where the Dover Demon was seen in 1977.

Elkhorn, Wisconsin; is the home of the Beast of Bray Road.

Skinwalker Ranch in Utah; has had many paranormal occurrences. UAP have been sighted, orbs, cattle mutilations, Bigfoot, crop circles and poltergeist activity. 


Harrisville, Rhode Island, the Old Arnold Estate. It became known as the Conjuring House, the basis for  the film, The Conjuring. The farm house was investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren.



Local places, near me,  in Maryland and Delaware:
      
         
New Castle Airport, Delaware; is where in 1952, Air Force
F-94 fighter jets  were scrambled from to intercept UFOs flying over Washington, DC. 

                 

Beltsville, Maryland; is where The Goatman has been reported.
Goatmen have also been seen in Louisville, Kentucky and Lake Worth, Texas.

Shady Side, Maryland, east of Washington D.C., is the home of the Shady Side Swamp Monster, a Bigfoot type Creature. 
The Sykesville Monster is another Sasquatch like beast, west of Baltimore.

      

       Some places have museums and festivals, dedicated to their cryptics:

Portland, Maine;  is where the International Cryptozoology Museum is located.  

Pine Bush, New York is home to the UFO and Paranormal Museum.
The small village is a UFO Hotspot. 


Felton, California; is the home of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum.







Bailey, Colorado; has The Sasquatch Outpost,
  and the Sasquatch Encounter Discovery Museum, by Jim Myers.   
       

Monroe, Connecticut is the former location of the Warrens’s Occult Museum, ran by Lorraine Warren and her son in law Tony Spera.


        


In Joplin, Missouri there was a Spooklight Museum light 
that closed in the 1980s.   

 

The Bermuda Triangle; is an area in the Atlantic Ocean off the southeast coast of Florida. The devils triangle is notorious for ships and planes vanishing without a trace. 


      
Fort Knox, Kentucky; is where four P51 fighter airplanes were sent to investigate a UFO in 1948. One of the fighters crashed in southern Kentucky after chasing the unidentified flying object. The pilot was killed.
