Ghosts are believed to be a form of energy, left over when a person dies. Another part of the idea is that spirits are like a recording of an event from the past. And our minds can play back that image, left over from a previous life.
The human brain utilizes electrical
impulses to transmit and communicate with different parts of the body. A spirit
might be an electrical energy field, that continues to exist outside of the
body after death. But how could this be possible?
There is significant precedence for
electricity existing outside of a physical medium. In electronic communications in the modern
world, radio waves are transmitted from towers, to and from devices, like
radios, televisions and cellular phones.
Electrical signals can and do exist in the open air, in the form of
radio waves. This is scientific fact and
basic electronics 101. I use to be an electronics technician.
Ghost hunters utilize EMF, electromagnetic field meters, to detect spirits. The idea is that ghosts may produce an electrical field. So spirits could be a type of electricity, that is transmitted from a human brain, similar to radio waves in electronics.
In the case of telepathy, people could be able to transmit electrical signals to another person, who’s brain would act like a receiver. This would enable telepathic communication, without any verbal, or audio interaction between individuals. And out of body and near death experiences, a person’s mind, in the form of an electrical energy field, could possibly be transmitted from their brain and even exist for a short period of time, outside of their brain. Then their spirit could return into the body, after they had been resuscitated, or they come out of a trance of some type.
I would call this phenomena, a
“human transmitter”. A person could send their thoughts through the airways, in
the form of electrical energy. On the miniseries “Out on a Limb”, by Shirley
MacLaine, they depicted a trance channeling medium (TCM), referring to himself
as a “human telephone”.
This could possibly explain the
existence of ghosts. Energy fields from a deceased person, could survive for
very long periods of time. It is believed that radio waves travel out into
space, and can go on for many years, after the original generation of the
signals. So why couldn’t electricity from the human brain, be transmitted and
travel around for decades, or even centuries?
Ghost Ships:
How can inanimate objects have spirits?
There are ghost ships and ghost trains that have been reported over the centuries. But machines, manmade devices and structures do not have spirits. Houses and buildings
can have the remnants of people that previously lived in them.
There was a ghost story, next to a
cemetery; an apparition was seen of a person sweeping a porch. The specter was
on the entrance area of a building. But there was no structure there in the
present day. The witness saw a building where none exists today. So the
structure was part of the apparition.
When we remember a place in our mind, we can conjure up an image of what things looked like. A ghost is partially the memories of a person. I think spirits can project images of objects and places, that they remember from their lifetimes.
So a ghost ship could be a projection of
a vessel, coming from the spirits of people, who may have died on the ship. The
ghosts remember the place or object and how it appeared. And they can include
the image of perhaps the source of their destruction, in their manifestation.
You could have multiple spirits projecting large objects, like planes, trains, or even houses. Perhaps they all perished together in a tragedy. And
ghost ships could be the remnants of lost lives, coming from the people who
passed within them at sea.
Ether; waves are believed to transmit psychic power to other people, telepathy. Also known as aether. Ethereal beings, spirits may exist, form from, or made of ether. It is Astral substance, the stuff that fills in space.
Aether is believed to be electromagnetic energy. Many ghostologists believe that spirits are a form of, or generate, electromagnetic fields.
William Crookes thought that telepathy between mediums was transmitted by ether waves, He invented the radiometer, a predecessor to the modern day EMF meter. It was a tube that measured electromagnetism.
Oliver Lodge; was a English physicist and spiritualist.
He believed ether was where ghosts existed.
William Danmar; was a Danish-American author, spiritist and architect. He called ether, light stuff, spiritual entity and said that ghosts were etherial beings, (thats how he spelled ethereal in his book Ghostology).
